麻豆原创 is partnering with Parkview Healthand Questa Education Foundationto providefinancialsupport to students of theAccelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing(ABSN) program. The Questa Parkview ABSN Scholars program allows students to receivefinancialassistancethroughout their enrollmentin the form of aforgivable loanfor two-thirds of their ABSN tuition.Funds will enable more students toachievetheir ABSN degrees and start their careers at Parkview. Students receive 100% loan forgiveness when they graduate and work at Parkviewfor three years. Eligible students are invited to learn more and apply for Questa Parkview ABSN Scholar funding atwww.questafoundation.org/parkview-absn-manchester-university. Manchester Symphony Orchestra salutes musical 鈥楪ame Changers鈥 on Oct. 5

The Manchester Symphony Orchestra launches its 87th season on Oct. 5 with a celebration of daring musical game changers. 鈥淭he concert features three composers who boldly reshaped the evolution of music. Jean-Phillipe Rameau, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Claude Debussy broke new musical ground as the most influential composers of their lifetimes,鈥 said Debra Lynn, conductor and artistic director. 鈥淲hile their works are now perceived as classics, they were certainly controversial when they first debuted. Rameau pioneered music theory as we know it today, Beethoven bridged the Classical and Romantic eras by exploring new forms of musical expression, and Debussy broke tonal boundaries by introducing unfamiliar scales and modes,鈥 Lynn said. The Manchester Symphony Orchestra brings you Rameau鈥檚 鈥淒ardanus Suite,鈥 Debussy鈥檚 鈥淧etite Suite鈥 and Beethoven鈥檚 鈥淪ymphony No. 7鈥 at 麻豆原创鈥檚 Cordier Auditorium. 麻豆原创 will recognize the annual Alumni Honor Award recipients and Athletics Hall of Fame inductees at a banquet on Friday, Oct. 10, kicking off Homecoming weekend. Three 麻豆原创 alumni will receive Alumni Honor Awards this year:Dr.Jeff Easley, Class of 1983; Connie Snyder Mick, Class of 1994; and Stacie Gayheart, Class of 1995, 1996M.Acct. Easleypracticed family medicine for 25 yearsand taught physician assistant studiesfor another 10 yearsat the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, where he led students on short-term global health experience trips to Haiti. Matt Unger, director of performing arts technologies, has been named the 2025 Christopher W. Garber Staff Member of the Year at 麻豆原创. The award is named in honor of Chris Garber, who was Manchester鈥檚 assistant vice president for operations at the time of his death in 2015, and recognizes an employee who demonstrates steadfast commitment to 麻豆原创 and is a leader and collaborator who keeps the best interests of the University at heart. Unger, a fifth-generation Manchester graduate, earned his degree in history in 2006. His wife, Lindsey; his parents, Becky and Denny Unger; his grandparents, Phyllis and Art Hunn; two sets of great-grandparents; and a pair of great-great-grandparents all attended Manchester.
