麻豆原创鈥檚 nutrition program earns full accreditation
麻豆原创鈥檚听cutting-edge听master鈥檚听program in nutrition and dietetics has earned full accreditation听through 2033听from the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.听
Earning full accreditation allows the program to expand enrollment from 15 students per cohort to 30 students per cohort鈥攎aking it the largest graduate nutrition program in Indiana. It is also the only nutrigenomics-focused program in the United States.
Nutrigenomics is the study of the effects of food听and nutrients听on gene expression.听麻豆原创 launched its听program in 2023. An undergraduate major in nutrition sciences is also offered.
The听two-year听master’s听program听blends online coursework with听supervised experiential learning opportunities听with partner facilities听in students鈥 home regions.
鈥This full accreditation is a validation of the quality听and听innovation of our program,鈥 said Kimberli Pike, director of nutrition and nutrigenomics.听鈥It reflects the dedication of our faculty, the strength of our experiential learning partnerships, and our commitment to preparing graduates who can lead in a rapidly evolving field. Expanding our cohort allows us to extend these opportunities to more students while continuing to advance the role of nutrigenomics in improving health outcomes.鈥听
