How to Apply

You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) first.

Federal Direct Loan Unsubsidized

Unsubsidized Loan are available to undergraduate and graduate students; there is no requirement to demonstrate financial need. Students are responsible for paying the interest on a Direct Unsubsidized Loan during all periods.

Required steps for student to complete:

  • Go to Checklists.
  • Select I鈥檓 in School.
    • Complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) to take out a federal student loan.
    • Complete entrance counseling before getting a student loan.

Federal Direct PLUS Loan for Graduate/Professional Students

PLUS Loan for Graduate/Professional Students, commonly referred to as a Grad PLUS Loan, are available to graduate or professional students enrolled at least half-time at an eligible school in a program leading to a graduate or professional degree or certificate.

Required steps for student to complete:

  • Go to .
  • Log in using your FSA ID username and password.
  • Go to Checklists.
  • Select I鈥檓 in School.
    • Apply for a PLUS loan for graduate school to help pay for your child鈥檚 education expenses not covered by other aid.
    • Complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) to take out a federal student loan.
    • Complete entrance counseling before getting a student loan.

Private Loans

Private loans, sometimes called alternative loans, are available from private lenders and offer additional financial assistance. A credit check is required for private loans and some of the loan terms and conditions may be based upon your credit standing. If you are a student, please know that most lenders will require a co-signer.

Carefully consider your needs before you borrow. We recommend that you exhaust all federal grant and loan programs before you consider a private loan. Please visit our Private Loans page for more information on private loans.

  • Manchester Pharmacy Success Grant

Candidates who accept our offer of admission by March 1st are considered for scholarships for Fall. These are one-time scholarships.

    • Walmart Health Equity Scholarship for Pharmacy Students
      Eligibility: P1, P2, or P3 standing

    • Eligibility: incoming or P1 students

  • For eligibility applicants must complete at least one academic year in the professional sequence of courses.

  • For eligibility applicants must be P2-P4.

  • For eligibility applicants must be enrolled in a PharmD program and meet other VA requirements.

  • There are various scholarships available through NCPA with eligibility for most with 24 months of graduation.
