Center For Effective Teaching and Learning

�鶹ԭ�� is deeply committed to the ongoing professional growth of its faculty and instructional staff. Central to this commitment is the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), which serves as the university’s hub for pedagogical innovation and professional development. Co-led by experienced instructional designers, CETL supports faculty in enhancing student learning outcomes through evidence-based teaching practices and strategic mentoring.

CETL coordinates a wide range of development opportunities both on and off campus, including:

Interactive workshops, scholarly lectures, and hands-on training sessions
Facilitated discussions and collaborative learning experiences
A curated library of pedagogical resources housed in Funderburg Library, covering topics such as active learning, dynamic lecturing, assessment strategies, and the first-year experience

A cornerstone of CETL’s programming is the annual Fall Faculty Workshop, which includes the selection of a keynote speaker and the design of engaging activities aligned with institutional goals and emerging trends in higher education.
