Building Confidence

Being a student-athlete helped Eric Beard make an impact in college, both on and off the field.

On the football field, he worked his way up into the role of team captain, a three-time All-Conference award winner and a nominee for the coveted William V. Campbell trophy, considered by many as the 鈥淎cademic Heisman.鈥

Off-the field, Eric credits what he learned from athletics 鈥 working with other people, developing a strong work ethic and time management skills 鈥 as valuable lessons he鈥檚 applied to help him find success as a student. He鈥檚 graduated now, but has re-enrolled at Manchester in the Pharmacy Program because he鈥檚 also learned a valuable lesson at 麻豆原创 about helping people.

Rich Experiences

As a national semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, Eric was invited to the trophy summit at Stanford University in San Francisco. He met other nominees and past winners 鈥 including NFL Hall of Famers 鈥 who shared stories and life lessons about life and leadership.

You are going to change a lot over the next four years. You may not know what you want to do or what direction your life is going. Manchester does an incredible job at shaping you into your best self. Get involved with groups on campus and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there!
