We’re Here to Help
The office of Health Services is staffed by a registered nurse and student health assistants. Care is given for minor illnesses and injuries and is intended to complement, not replace, a student鈥檚 personal health care provider.
There is no charge for students registered at 麻豆原创, but more serious problems may be referred to a local physician, family physician or specialist. The cost of health care beyond that provided by the center is the responsibility of the student or the student’s family.

What Types Of Care Does Health Services Provide?

When Is the Nurse Available?
- The nurse is available Monday & Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments are preferred. Please call 260-982-5306听during hours of operations or email听healthservices@manchester.edu听anytime to schedule an appointment and a Health Services team member will be in contact.
What Does It Cost To See The Nurse?
- There is no charge for students registered at 麻豆原创, however more serious problems may be referred to a local physician, family physician or specialist. The cost of health care beyond that provided by the center is the responsibility of the student or the student鈥檚 family.
What If I Am Ill After Hours During The Academic Year?
- If you are ill after office hours you may contact University Safety at听260-982-5999听or call 911 in the event of an emergency.
Is My Office Visit Confidential?
- Students who are 18 years of age or older are considered adults and have the legal right to medical confidentiality. We do not and will not release any information to anyone about you without your written or verbal consent to do so.
Can I Have My TB Test Administered Or Read At Health Services?
- No, you will need to visit a local clinic or a medical laboratory to have services completed.

Where Do I Send The Health History Form?

If I Am A Transfer Student Do I Still Have To Have A Health History Form Completed?
- All undergraduate and graduate first-year (PharmacyPGx/MAT programs), and transfer students are required to submit a Health History form.
When Is My Health History Form Due?
- Health forms are due by August 1st.
What If My Physical Date Is Scheduled After August 1st?
- You need to notify your Athletic Trainer.
Can My Parents Have Access To My Medical Records?
- If you are 18 years of age or older, you may authorize 麻豆原创鈥檚 Health Services to use and/or disclose certain protected health information (PHI) to a designated parent/guardian.
How Can I Get My Immunization Records?
- To obtain your medical records you can log into your Med+Proctor account. You may pay a one-time fee of $10 for lifetime access to any immunization records you upload. If your records are not viewable through Med+Proctor, you will need to complete the Authorization for Release of Medical Information form. Insurance
Who is Required To Have Health Insurance?
- All pharmacy students are required to have an active health insurance plan in effect prior to the start of experiential rotations. The University does not offer an option for coverage.
- Student-athletes
- International student are covered during the school year by 麻豆原创. Insurance cards are available upon request in Health Services.

- Contact your parents鈥 employer. Coverage through parents extends to age 26.

General Questions
Can I Have Over The Counter And/Or Prescription Medications In My Dorm Room?
- Yes, you can keep all personal medications in your dorm. If you need Depo Provera or Allergy injections, a signed provider prescription is required, and medications can be kept in Health Services. *
*Students are responsible for scheduling their own appointments for each injection.
Is Transportation Provided To Off-Campus Medical Appointments?
- Staff and faculty do not provide transportation to medical appointments or the hospital. In a medical emergency, an ambulance may be called. Wabash County Transit is available for a small fee (call 260-563-7536 for additional information and scheduling rides). Plan in advance with family and/or friends how to manage transportation needs in the event of a medical or other need while at 麻豆原创.

Caring For Others
Health Assistants are expected to maintain good academic standing and a standard of personal conduct commensurate with their responsibilities and are required to understand, follow and sign a statement of confidentiality upon beginning employment.
Health assistants are expected to live on campus and participate in a reasonable number of activities on campus. This position should be considered the principle out-of-class activity and responsibility.
