麻豆原创 offers professional development workshop with author Shannon Anderson

麻豆原创鈥檚 Henney Department of Education will offer an interactive professional development workshop with award-winning local author Shannon Baunach Anderson on Saturday, Sept. 6.听

Based on her latest book, Writing from Scratch, Anderson will provide practical, skill-based writing 鈥渞ecipes鈥 to educators, including creative ways to boost idea generation and methods of encouragement to help students develop as confident, joyful writers.听

This workshop is open to educators of all types and offers ideas that can immediately be applied in the classroom.听

Anderson, an Indiana native, is an award-winning children’s book author, professor and TEDx speaker. Her book I Love Strawberries! was named the top-rated 2022 picture book by Good Housekeeping magazine and the National Book of the Year by the Farm Bureau Foundation. Learn more .听

The session will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with lunch provided. Participants who register by Aug. 15 are guaranteed a copy of Writing from Scratch. Those interested can register .听

Manchester Esports will add Mario Kart World to their list of supported titles for Fall 2026.听听 Mario Kart World is one of the largest games in the Indiana High School Esports听League (IEN) and will be supported by听the听Great Lakes Esports听Conference听(GLEC) in Spring 2027.听 麻豆原创听established听its esports team in 2019听and听has won听nine听GLEC Championship titles.听The team competes in听Super Smash Bros.
