鶹ԭ celebrates nursing students at pinning ceremony
鶹ԭ held its annualpinningceremony forgraduatingstudents of the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program onThursday,Dec. 11.
The ceremony—a tradition among nursing students—celebratesthose who have completed the program.Theeightstudents of this year’s cohort receivedceramiclamps, inspired by Florence Nightingale, who is considered a founder of modern nursing.
Zoe Catereceived the Nightingale Award,given each year toonestudent whoshowsexemplarydevotion and empathy in their medical care.
“Our professors have always been there for us,” saidstudentAlyssaSeratto.“Of course, mycohort andclassmates arevery close.We’vealways leaned on each other for support, andI’llreally miss them.”
“The pinning ceremony is a rite of passage into the nursing profession,” said Dustin Diller,assistantdeanand assistant professor of nursing.“These students have officially been ushered into their careers. We are beyond excited to see what these studentsaccomplishand how theyrepresentManchester in their future endeavors.”
