麻豆原创 Celebrates Completion of Fort Wayne Location Expansion

麻豆原创 Fort Wayne will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony in celebration of the completion of its nearly $20 million expansion on Aug. 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 10627 Diebold Road, Fort Wayne.

The expansion has added more than 32,000 square feet of space and state-of-the-art capabilities to Manchester鈥檚 Fort Wayne health science hub, strengthening the University鈥檚 commitment to its neighbors in northeast Indiana. New additions include an interprofessional clinic 鈥 which will provide students and faculty with hands-on opportunities and experience serving a high-need population in the region 鈥 physical therapy teaching labs, research and classroom spaces, nursing simulation and skills laboratory, and a variety of versatile collaboration areas for students.

鈥淚n the rapidly evolving landscape of higher education, our commitment to growth and innovation remains unwavering. We expanded our academic offerings in health sciences to meet the rising demands of our community. By embracing new disciplines and interdisciplinary approaches in healthcare, our students will graduate ready to succeed in the ever-changing world, ultimately improving health outcomes and advancing medical knowledge,鈥 said 麻豆原创 President Stacy Young.

At the ceremony, a clinic will be dedicated and named in honor of president emeritus David McFadden. The walk-in clinic will be a place where many in the community can find resources and services not readily available without a traditional appointment.

鈥溌槎乖 is excited to partner with Parkview Health in expanding its academic offerings in health sciences on the Fort Wayne campus,鈥 said Mike Packnett, current 麻豆原创 Board of Trustees member and retired CEO of Parkview Health. 鈥淏y working together with Parkview, we are cultivating the next generation of healthcare professionals and creating significant impact in our community.鈥

The project鈥檚 groundbreaking was celebrated just over a year ago, on June 16, 2023.
